Sell Books on Amazon – How to Write Your Description and Crucial Book Terminology
The absolute most important thing you will have control over when you list the used books for sale on Amazon is always to add a full, detailed, ‘sell-able’ description of the condition of one’s publication to the Amazon Seller’s list form.
Since the buyer cannot pick up Ecom Income blueprint and look over your publication, actually touch and feel it and then thumb through the webpage, it’s your obligation to faithfully and honestly describe the merchandise. You will need to:
• Place in just what the client wants to learn.
• Put in just what the client needs to learn.
• Place in what the buyer may be surprised to understand. (i.e., “Book signed by writer”)
• place at a second reason to get. (i.e., “First Edition”)
• Tell the client he or she is able to be confident that the publication will be packaged well and sent promptly.
• Provide a freebie (i.e., “Free delivery confirmation to guarantee precise delivery to you”)
Here’s a sample I have used that generally seems to work nicely. I’ve got this on a template page loaded on my PC.
I pull up the lists (they are in rather basic Notepad text arrangement to refrain from having data conversion problems if they were in MS Office or some-such other wordprocessing program program which sounds compelled to include strange formatting options to exactly what I type), and all I must do would be copy-and-paste the description which closely matches what I’m selling, insert it in the right spot on the shape, then go ahead and edit it 1015 minutes to accurately fit the publication’s requirement.
Comments: Good condition, hardcover, sixth printing 1952. No dust cover. Except for two inscriptions in front cover, there isn’t any writing or highlighting noticed inside pages. Edges and back of cover softly, spine okay, binding OK. Fantastic copy for reading or research on this topic. Instock and available to ship now. We ship USPS standard media mail with free shipping and delivery verification to ensure timely, accurate delivery direct to you.
It makes no sense to list status of the book as “Like New” if it is truly “Great” condition. Stretching the facts are a sure means to squeeze the profits selling on Amazon!
Lately I’ve been adding from the fact my own seller evaluation is quite high.
A seller using a low rating might perhaps not boat in time, or could be guilty of not even describing the publication right, or may not even ship this publication! All of the causes, regular buyers have a tendency to shy off from sellers who have low evaluations, and direct their company to all those sellers who get good responses.
I add a phrase similar to this to new novels I list available on Amazon:
“Purchase with confidence in 5 star Amazon Seller!”
Short, simple, and to this point. No bragging. Just the truth. I DO have a 5 star Rating, and I wish to draw their focus to that and set their mind at ease so that they won’t wonder if they are risking their money buying my own publication over another 50 books of the same title bid to get their own attention.
Many sellers mention their turnaround days (“We send same time!”) Or quantity of books sent per day (“Thousands shipped daily!”) My advice would be always to obtain your own unique selling proposition which may set you head and shoulders above the competition.
In the event you do not know how, here is a quick example of how to copy and paste having a Windows keyboard:
I have found it’s a lot easier to type up the description of all novels in Notepad, then copy and then paste using old school keyboard techniques.
Go over towards the screen revealing your Amazon publication listing form, click your cursor onto the “Comments” box, then the grip down the CTRL button and then press on the “V” key. This pastes it into the form. Wishing you a lot of typing.
In case you want to generate a little change to the copy – state, for instance, the back to the paperback is creased and torn slightly – you then are able to scroll into this portion of the description, then type it in, and then click on the “Publish” button. All done!
Move on to another publication. Copy. Repeat. Rinse. Nothing can be easier!
